Recognise that from watching international news? We drove past it...

On our way back to Tehran, we visited a historical private house and were treated like celebrities. I was given a baby and the fotosession started. Every woman of the place surrounded me, took fotos and blessed me. The baby seemed to to like all the attention as it started to cry instantly as soon as I passed her on into Peters arms.

It was very hot and good to cool off our feet in the water fountains of Kashan Fin Gardens. Every culture has their own design of gardens, mainly to show off their uniqueness. Since Iran is very deserty, water would be the most precious resource. So if you are rich, build yourself a palace. If you are very rich, build a watergarden!

Another good meal and off we were, back on the road into the crazy traffic of Tehran. Our tastebudes peaked on our last night in Iran when we found a Cuban Restaurant and had proper Quesadillas - no kidding. Early night and early morning - we had to leave the hotel at 3:30am to catch the flight to Pakistan!

Being in Iran was a very good experience. We drove past a lot of military bases and antiaircraft missiles, saw all the women wearing their full shadors and were not allowed to use the swimming pool with the boys. And we were fed up with eating kebaps. But people were very welcoming and happy to see tourists in their country. They made an effort to prove that their country was actually not as bad as shown on the news. When there you will spend some time getting to know the history of Persia, their kingdoms, the introduction of Islam and the current political situation. Iran is a great country to visit!
