The "Church of Bones" - Sedlec Ossuary

Pretty bizarre decorations...

The masterpiece - the chandelier

Day 5 - Kotna Hora, Vienna

On the way to Vienna we stopped at kotna Hora and the Church of Bones. In the middle ages the abbey had sprinkled some soil on the cemetery that he had brought back from Golgotha and thus everyone wanted to get buried there. Due to some pests and wars there was so many, that they somehow had to get rid of all the remains.

So this monk started to decorate the church with them.......very interesting!

The State Opera House and Ferris wheel

Ozzie Ozzie Ozzie!

We had a first impression of Vienna on a drive around the Ringstrasse - what an impressive city! I cannot believe that Ive never been here before! After checking in we all went for a stroll to the Prater amusement Park, which took us pretty much through the whole city. After a nice Wiener Schnitzel and a few beers we were ready to hit the crazy rides...

On the way back home we stopped at a few bars, had our first Obstler and experienced Viennese culture on the main squre of the Museumsquartier, where the opening festival of the summer season had taken place!

The next day was dedicated to exploring beautiful Vienna. Some went to see the Lippizaner horses. some got into the easy living at the Ozziepub. We all met up for a picnic and a game of ball in the Burggarten, it couldnt be any better!
